Press Start Show for 6-20-2007

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

This all feels very underground.  We’ve gone from the relative splendor of the KCPR studio to a couple of microphones and a computer in an echoy bedroom.  Please do send us emails and comments to let us know what you did and didn’t like about it.

This week: Our new format, the new Rock Band controller, Contra finally gets a sequel, The Great Games Experiment, and Dirt!  Everyone loves playing with dirt!

Our bumper music is performed by Machinae Supremacy and used with permission.  Please enjoy.

6-13-2007: The Last Press Start at KCPR

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007

Hot on the heels of our second-to-last live show comes this, our last live show with KCPR. It’s some news, a lot of tangents, and rather a bit of retrospective near the end. Honestly I’m kind of amazed at some of the stuff I’ve apparently said. Amazing.

Of course, we’d much prefer it if Press Start wasn’t over. We have every intention of keeping the show going, but we’ll be likely taking some time to figure out a new format and a new workflow. Heck, maybe even a new name. Want to be involved, or have a suggestion or request? You’ve got our email address.

And if you don’t, it’s pressstartkcpr at gmail period com.

Now enjoy the show and go play some games.

Press Start Show for 6-7-2007

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

This is our second-to-last live show in the KCPR studios.  How depressing is that.

This week we cover, well, games.  You know, game stuff.  People playing games.  Also people playing games on fire.  We also discuss a new bill to restrict the spread of games the powers that be don’t like - and why this might be a good thing?  Tune in to find out blah blah you know the rest.
